A wonderful
collection of Rebecca D'souza's which depicts fusion of East and West,
a blending of each other. She has made a niche Going to the basics Rebecca has used texturised khadi ,jute fabrics mixed and matched with embriodered tule, crushed tissue and fabric painted borders in off white, beige, bronze, gold and rust which gives a dainty look to the chaniya. One of her garments enhances the effect of a khadi-jute chaniya designed into 20 kalis stitched down till the knees. Each kali is handpainted into a decorative border with diamond shaped cut glass work. Along with it was a tie up choli with a fabric painted border draped by a stole or dupatta made of gold tissue.
